WECSS, in collaboration with the State Ministry of Health and with UNICEF’s support under SBC project Titled “𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭”, conducted three key community meetings today in Tiaraliet, Aweil South County — a reported cholera hotspot.

Meetings were held at the Payam HQ, PHCU, and local market, emphasizing the cholera prevention messages. The swift action comes as SMOH reports increased cholera cases in the payam.

The joint team included WECSS staff, the Director of PHC, State BHI Coordinator, CHD, and local BHWs. Risk Communication and Community engagement remain central to stopping the spread of the cholera.
